Library Databases (Electronic Resources): Databases by Subject

To access the Databases from off-campus, you must log into MyMonroe.* If you are unable to see the Library Resources icon, please call IT at 646-393-8290 and request correction of your status from "Member" to "Student."

Database By Subject

Some databases are subject-specific, and many are multidisciplinary.

If you are researching a nursing class, you probably won't need to use the Literature Resource Center database because it is a resource on authors and their work.  Likewise, if you are writing a paper about Edgar Allen Poe, you most likely won't use the database CINHAL because that is a database for medical information.

So, what should you use?  Start with these suggested databases listed under the subject:

General Multi-Disciplinary: Library Databases

Criminal Justice: Library Databases

Business / Entrepreneurship: Library Databases

Current Events/News, Topical/Controversies Issues: Library Databases

Science(s): Library Databases
