The APA

The American Psychological Association (or APA) is the largest and most prominent of the psychological associations in the United States. Founded in 1892, and based in Washington D.C., the APA has almost 150,000 combined professional and student members. (Yes this is the same organization that publishes the style manual that you use for your research papers - hence it's short name APA 7th)
